This I read in an afternoon. It was enjoyable to hear some of the back ground on the show that I like to watch.

You know I have always enjoyed this show too. But, recently I learned some stuff that have made me hesitant about this family.
Jon & Kate now command $25,000 per speaking engagement. Last year, I remember people on the MOPS boards recommending her as a speaker and they didn't get that much money then. But, now they have a PR person. I guess that means majorly big bucks. I don't think getting the money is a problem (hey, if someone is willing to pay it, more power to ya). I think cancelling arrangements made by Jon & Kate prior to the PR firm coming on board so that they can get the much, much greater fee is not right.
I am also disturbed by her treatment of her husband and if I hear her complain about the kids being dirty one more time, well,it just sounds like nails on a chalkboard to me. I mean, come on, kids are kids. Dirt comes with the territory. If you're worried about them, get some playclothes and let me go to town in those. If you're worried about people judging you because your kids don't match or are dirty, well, then you need new friends.
OK, enough of my rant. All this being said, I would read this book, but only if I get it from my library.
