mother daughter tea

This weekend was the second annual Mother Daughter tea at church. I was on the team that help put this together. Here are a few of the things that we did. We had a craft time where we made a tie blanket for the Crisis Pregnancy Center here in Kenosha. We also had refreshments including peanut butter and jelly sandwiches cut into flower shapes (thanks to a cookbook Rylee got from Grandma Kochie) and chocolate fondue!!! What a fun way to spend a Saturday afternoon just Rylee and I!

loss

A family at church loss their beautiful baby this week. It is so heartbreaking. They were able to have some beautiful and special pictures taken to capture her short life through this organization. What a beautiful gift that these volunteers are giving these families.
Now I lay me down to sleep Foundation

May God bless the Streckers and may they see His love in this time of sadness.

The girls and I went to Disney Princess on Ice with Addi and Melissa last week. It was a really fun show. Ayden was wouldnt look away she was so captivated. Rylee wasn't too old and still thought it was neat. Addi was in to Ursula (the witch from Little Mermaid). It was a fun night but the girls were up late since it started at 7 and it was in milwaukee.

new ways to play

I think I might have seen one of the grosses things I have seen my kids do tonight. OK. I have been a parent for 9 years and this is way up on the list of gross things.

In the van I look in the rear view mirror because Mason was talking to me. He says, "Mom, I can play the recorder (remember that woodwind instrument you had to play in 4th grade) with my nose" and he was actually playing a note while blowing out his nose!
