Blizzard of 2011

I have lived in the midwest my whole life and lived in Wisconsin for almost 10 years but I have NEVER seen anything like this before. When I walked outside this morning, I just laughed because it was so CRAZY. Luckily, Darren didn't have to be at work and the kids and I had a snow day. It took him all day to shovel and then he borrowed a snow blower for the rest. Here are a few pictures.

We don't have school tomorrow either! It was a total of over 22 inches!! Darren went for a little drive this afternoon and he said the main roads are clear but some side streets aren't plowed at all.

birthday=tombstone

So my birthday is next week so I don't know if this is why I have death on the brain but I do. I was thinking about New years resolutions on my way into work (35 mins and no radio at 6 am leads to interesting thoughts). I was thinking about how my priorities some times are not in order and that one thing I would like to change in the New year. I was thinking about what would be on my tombstone. I was thinking of things like ...loving mother...loving wife...loved Jesus, etc that these things should take priority rather than ...awesome artist, best PTA member...best house on the block. Unfortunately, I told Darren these deep thoughts of mine. His comment "so next time you go shopping can I say "do you want awesome bargain finder at Target on your tombstone" URGH!!

Christmas quote

We had a great Christmas and we are enjoying the time off work and school to play with all our new presents. I have one quote from Mason that I want to put on here so I won't forget. Darren picked Mason out some mens old spice body spray to put in his stocking. So when Mason opened it he said "I am glad that Santa is realizing I am becoming a man!" Here is a picture..its kinda blurry though...

Merry christmas from the kocherspergers and the joness

So my awesome cousin Holly came up to take pictures for us at the end of October for our Christmas cards. She did a great job and came up with some great shots. So at the end of November (before Thanksgiving actually) I found a layout I loved at samsclub.com. They had a problem with my order and it couldnt be found. After going to Sams twice they told me to reorder them on the computer.

So finally they called to say that they were in at Sams so Darren goes and picks them up not looking at the cards. He comes in and throws them at me while I was sitting on the couch. I open the front cover to see this

Then open the card and here is the middle

See Anything wrong with this picture. I started laughing so hard I couldnt breathe. I hope these people dont have 3 little kids in the spot where this picture was suppose to be on their card.

They finally got them corrected free plus a $10 gift card.

The first year that we werent some kind of theme in our house...I let it go...figured I had 10 years of it. I let them pick their own costumes so we have a vampire, a lady bug fairy and a 50's girl.
